M2inc is a third-generation, family-owned manufacturers’ representative agency founded in 1979. For more than four decades, the company has built lasting relationships across Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, Nebraska, and southern Illinois—while also serving customers in nearly every state and providing specification support for projects around the world.
Primarily serving the architecture and design community, along with a select network of commercial furniture dealers, M2inc combines industry expertise with a highly personal approach. The company represents leading manufacturers and helps bring thoughtful, high-performing spaces to life across a wide range of markets.
M2 and its manufacturing partners are active participants in many of the industry’s most influential national events and trade shows, including Healthcare Design, EDspaces, Hospitality Design, LeadingAge, and the annual DesignDays and NeoCon Expo at Chicago’s Merchandise Mart
Account representatives and service personnel are strategically located throughout the territory, providing responsive, local support. The company also employs two full-time interior designers who assist dealers and design partners with specifications for open-plan environments, private offices, and comprehensive interior design solutions.
That same commitment to service extends to customer support. M2 full-time customer service specialists work directly with manufacturers’ designated service teams to deliver fast, reliable responses from initial inquiry through project completion.
Beyond business, M2 is proud to carry on a long-standing tradition of supporting the professional organizations that strengthen the industry—including architectural and interior design schools. The company has also maintained a strong history of membership and financial sponsorship with local IIDA chapters, helping invest in the future of design and the professionals who shape it.
MEET OUR TEAM
Cameron Messerschmidt
Principal and Account Rep for KS, NE, IA and MO
Attended Northern Colorado University as a criminal law major and has been at DMInc for approx. 20yrs. Before moving his family to the Kansas City area in 2008, Cameron spent time in Saint Louis with the Company servicing architects, interiors designers and dealers in the Saint Louis Metro Area.
He is the 3rd generation of the family to be in the business and has earned the respect of his design, dealer and end user customers, as well as the manufacturers the Company represents. He is energetic and extremely well versed in product knowledge and product applications. He also has a great work ethic and works hard to produce a fair deal for all parties. Cameron also still plays Independant baseball at a high level competing against the likes of the KC Monarchs. Cameron is also responsible for the Company’s increased knowledge and use of technology tools and social media.
Kristin Horst
Sales rep
Kristin's understanding for design, combined with her deep industry knowledge, allows her to create spaces that are not only functional but also aesthetically pleasing. She excels in transforming healthcare settings into welcoming and efficient environments that support both patient well-being and staff productivity. Her impressive background in dealership operations and interior design makes her a powerhouse in understanding and meeting the unique needs of healthcare environments.
When she’s not excelling in her sales role, Kristin's entrepreneurial spirit naturally shines through. She has a knack for discovering new products and a passion for sharing them with others. Her love for beauty products and anything that keeps her youthful reflects her commitment to living life to the fullest. Friends and family often find themselves convinced to try the latest skincare or wellness trend, thanks to Kristin's genuine enthusiasm and personal recommendations.
Outside of work, Kristin is an avid Peloton enthusiast, channeling her energy into fitness and well-being. She also has a knack for hands-on projects, spending her free time working in the yard, building, and renovating her home. Her passion for creating beautiful and functional spaces reflects her meticulous nature and eye for detail.
Emily Bolls
Sales and Design
Emily is a relationship driven individual who has a history of
building strong relationships with her customers, teammates and industry peers.
She has a deep understanding of commercial furniture products and is able to translate her client’s goals into recommending functional and reliable solutions.
Previously, she was a design consultant for a Steelcase dealership in SW Missouri
and the Saint Louis Metropolitan area. Emily’s experience includes working
with a variety of customers including Fortune 500 Companies.
Emily graduated from Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri, where
she earned her BS, Interior Design. She is proficient in several architectural & design programs and is eager to learn and take the next steps in the development of her career.
Emily lives in Saint louis and will be working from her home, while also traveling Central & Eastern Missouri, concentrating on the Saint Louis Metropolitan area.
Dick Messerschmidt
Managing Partner
As President, Dick is charged with many duties & responsibilities which include his own personal sales for the Company. He has over 43 years of experience in the industry, originally transferring from Chicago where he started as a sales rep working for a rep group out of The Merchandise Mart. He provides a unique combination of both a strong business sense and creative demeanor. Dick is a skilled presenter and can captivate any audience. He is also well versed at more complex sales models and has negotiated several major agreements on behalf of the manufacturers’ he has carried. Dick also has consulted for several companies he has represented including traveling abroad to their suppliers to review designs suitable for the U.S. Markets.
Kim Buske
Account Representative
Kim performs interior design and space planning for the majority of the Company. She is also responsible for accounts and sales in the State of Iowa.
Before coming to Dick Messerschmidt, Incorporated, Kim managed the Interior Design staff for the Commercial Furniture Division of Phelan’s Interiors in Cedar Rapids Iowa. Previously, she also was employed as an interior designer at Saxton’s, a Knoll Dealership, and OM Workspace in Minnesota.
Kim graduated from Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa with a BA Interior Design. She obtained her interior design license early on and has kept it current by attending the appropriate CEU’s and other various seminars annually. She has also served on the Board of the Great Plains Chapter of IIDA.
Her NCIDQ Certificate Number is #21202.
Jody Kirkpatrick
Project Manager
Jody graduated from the University of Iowa with a B.A. in Liberal Arts and a Minor in Business and remains a true Hawkeye fan and supporter. In the past she has volunteered and served at various homeless shelters and has been involved with JDRF (the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation).
Jody brings deep industry experience and knowledge to Dick Messerschmidt, Incorporated. She was previously employed at a Steelcase dealership in Chicago where she was responsible numerous pre and post order activities including coordinating manufacturers and client issue management.
She uses these skills to manage key projects and work with the companies’ customers to provide product specifications and project quotes. Jody has approx. 10 years with Dick Messerschmidt, Incorporated as a customer service and project manager and is well liked by many of her customers and peers.
Beverly Rehkop
Customer Service Rep
Beverly has previously held various sales and service positions in our industry covering 30+ years. She has dealer, design and rep experience and came with some of the highest recommendations from several of our Kansas and Missouri Design Firms. She also has an extensive background in healthcare sales and service.
She holds both a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design and a Master of Science in Clothing and Textiles from Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas. She is also committed to the Performing Arts in the Kansas City Area and has ongoing or previous work at The Kaufman Center for Performing Arts, Kansas City Repertory Theatre, The Folly Theatre and Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art.
Beverly performs a variety of service and inside sales functions for Dick Messerschmidt, Incorporated and often assists in quotations and specifications when necessary. Beverly has been with DMInc for approx. 7years.
